The Ordesa and Monte Perdido Park, located in the Aragonese Pyrenees,&nbsp,it is the second oldest national park in Spain. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1997, as well as a Biosphere Reserve.&nbsp,Its glaciar valleys and impressive peaks draw magnificent landscapes, such as the waterfall of the Gavarnie Cycle (more than 400 meters high), the highest in Europe. Also the magical and silent forests are a must for nature lovers.

When: It is open year-round and entry is free.&nbsp,Access to the Ordesa Valley in private vehicle&nbsp,is prohibited during the summer months and Easter week. A public bus service will provide&nbsp,transportation to the Park during these times.&nbsp,The park has in each season a particular and impressive beauty.

How to get there: The National Park is formed by four valleys and a central mountain massif. It can be reached through the towns of Torla (Ordesa Valley, the most popular), Escalona and Fanlo (Añisclo Valley), Escuaín and Tella-Revilla (Escuaín Valley), and Bielsa (Pineta Valley). The roads N-260 and A-138 are the ones that lead to them.

At times,&nbsp,this stunning region can pose a number of different risks: unpredictable weather that can change very quickly, violent storms,&nbsp,&nbsp,accumulation of&nbsp,snow and ice, fog...&nbsp,Use suitable mountain equipment and remember to bring enough food, water,&nbsp,and warm clothing.&nbsp,Do not leave the trails, or hike at night.&nbsp, Before visiting it, we recommend you read about the area or go&nbsp,to the Park’s Visitor Centers and information offices for asking the staff for tips and information about how to get around there.
