Tagus River & bridges

Rating:

4,0

+ 13

The Tagus River is the reason behind the existence of Toledo. The first settlers chose the huge promontory on which the city stands for defensive reasons, being almost completely surrounded by the river, the longest in the Iberian Peninsula. Today Toledo has no enemies to defend against, but the Tagus and its historic bridges continue to mark its character and provide some of the most beautiful panoramas.
