Access to the basilica is through the Nativity Façade, on Carrer de la Marina Street.
Further info: The basilica is expected to be completed in 2026, 100 years after Gaudí's death. By that time, he had only completed one of the 18 planned towers, the crypt, the apse walls, and one of the three facades, the Nativity Façade, which is considered the artistic pinnacle of the building. The ongoing construction follows part of his original plans, although some were lost or destroyed, leading to controversies regarding their interpretation, the materials used, and the overall direction of the project.
As an expiatory temple, it is funded exclusively through donations from believers. UNESCO declared the Sagrada Familia a World Heritage site in 2005.
