Dating back to the 16th century, both Islamic and Christian elements are mixed in the architecture and decoration of this building. Some of its arches and columns were part of the Islamic palace Dar al-Bayda. Chapiz is the name of its Morisco owners. The School for Arabic Studies has been based here since 1932. It has beautiful gardens from which you can take good pictures of the Alhambra.
