Guirlache, a sweet treat made with almonds and sugar, is one of Al-Andalus's gastronomic legacies and one of Aragón's most renowned products. A highly recommended place to try this delicious delicacy is Fantoba, Zaragoza's oldest pastry shop (established in 1856) and one of the oldest in Spain. Here, guirlache is crafted entirely by hand, using a unique technique on a special stone table. At Fantoba, you'll find an artisan pastry shop offering high-quality creations, another typical Aragon sweet -candied fruit covered in chocolate-, handcrafted almond nougats and many other delights. A must-visit in the city.
