This fountain is really magical at night, certain days of the week and at certain times, when an amazing show of water, music, light and color starts up. It is then when 2,600 liters of water per second sprout and dance to the rhythm of all kinds of musical pieces, following one of the 7,000 million possible combinations of water and light. The fountain was built for the Universal Exhibition of 1929.

How to get there: To get there, arrive at Plaça d’Espanya (metro station Espanya, red line L1 or green line L3). The fountain is just beyond the two Venetian towers. Buses: 13, 23, 37, 150, H12, and H16. The FGC stop is Plaça d’Espanya.
Our tip: Important: get there 30-60 minutes before the show's starting time to get the best spots. Earlier show times generally have smaller crowds.
Keep bags at front because the crowds attract pickpockets.
