Paella at El Palmar

Rating: 4,8

(17.053 reviews)
Valencia is the cradle of paella, the most famouse dish in Spain, and the best known internationally. It's a must. If you want to eat paella in the most popular spot, like an authentic Valencian, go to El Palmar. There is nothing spectacular about this place, but here you will find more than a dozen restaurants where you can enjoy this dish overlooking the rice paddies.&nbsp,To complete the day, take a boat trip through the Albufera lagoon.

Info & Location

City/Province: Valencia City

Type of Experience: Gastronomy, Nature - Outdoor

Where: El Palmar is a small fishing village located in the Albufera Natural Park, 25 kilometers from the center of Valencia. It is surrounded by rice paddies and orchards and also channels that fishermen travel with their boats, which they traditionally use for fishing and also for boat trips on the lagoon.

Price: As in general with restaurants, you can find paellas of very different prices, also depending on the ingredients. Of course, it can't cost the same a seafood paella - the most expensive variety, about 12 or 14 euros per serving, more expensive in fancy restaurants - than a vegetable one.&nbsp,If you add any entree, drink, etc ... you must calculate about € 25 or € 30 per person.
